Overview

KS Medigap was founded by Sarah Abril.  Scott has been involved in the financial industry for over 30 years.  She graduated from Rockhurst University in Kansas City with a Finance and Economics degree.  After graduation, she began his career in financial planning.  She shortly switched his career focus to the futures and commodity trading industry.  Her first job in this industry was a wheat options pit reporter on the floor of the Kansas City Board of Trade.  Following that, she traded soybean options at the Chicago Board of Trade.  Finally, she became a wholesale electricity trader in the newly deregulated electricity industry.  She came to appreciate the concept of risk transfer during his time as a trader.  The transition to insurance, being the oldest form of transferring risk, was natural.

Sarah lives with her Husband and two kids in Lenexa, KS.  They live in the same house they bought in 1992.  She enjoys helping people navigate the Medicare world and finding the best solution to transfer their healthcare risks to the appropriate insurance company.
